Eyebrow and eyelash transplantation is one of the most common procedures. The roots taken with the FUE technique are separated one by one and planted in the shedding area. Hair follicles can be taken from different parts of the body for eyebrows.
How is Eyebrow Transplantation Done?
Eyebrow transplantation is usually performed using FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) or FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) methods. In both methods, healthy hair follicles are taken and transplanted to the eyebrow area.
In the FUE method, individual hair follicles (follicles) are removed from the donor area with the help of surgical instruments and then placed in the thinned channels in the eyebrow area. This method usually does not require incisions or stitches.
FUT is a slightly more invasive technique. In FUT, hair follicles are usually taken as a strip from the nape of the neck, and this strip is then sent to the laboratory environment to separate the follicular units. Then, the obtained follicular units are transplanted to the eyebrow area.
Both methods are performed under local anesthesia and the procedure time may vary depending on the person. The healing process usually takes a few days, but full results may take 6 to 12 months to appear.
Before eyebrow transplantation, a detailed evaluation should be made and the most appropriate technique should be determined as a result of an examination by a specialist physician.
How is Eyelash Transplantation Done?
Eyelash transplantation is usually performed with hair transplantation methods such as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) or FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation). During this procedure, healthy hair follicles are taken from the donor area and transplanted to the eyelash area.
Both methods are performed under local anesthesia and the procedure time may vary depending on the person. The healing process usually takes a few days, but full results may take 6 to 12 months to appear.
